Fall Itinerary

  • West Side Nut Club Fall Festival – The second largest street festival in the country… and it’s still growing! Over 150,000 people attend this week-long event which features free entertainment, carnival attractions, window displays, amateur talent competitions, a huge parade, and over 120 booths offering tasty treats from the traditional to the unique.
  • Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden – The largest zoo in Southern Indiana with a “kid-friendly” fountain area also offers a gift shop and restaurant where you can dine inside or outside. Tour the zoo and botanic garden on foot or by tram. The amazing exhibit Amazonia is a spectacular experience of a walk through the South American rainforest.
  • Reitz Home Museum – The elegance and grandeur of the Victorian era abound in this historic mansion. Restored and renovated to the more gracious time of the late 1800s, the Reitz Home Museum is a stunning example of French Second Empire architecture.
  • Victory Theatre featuring the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra – Over its 84-year history, the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra has grown to become one of the finest regional orchestras of its kind in the country.
  • Grey Lady Ghost Tours at the Willard Library – Look for the world’s most famous library ghost, Willard Library’s Grey Lady! The tour guides will recount stories about the famous ghost in the exact location of the library where they happened.
