The annual Food Festival will be in full swing on Franklin Street October 2nd-7th! Located in one of Evansville's oldest neighborhood, this streetfest has been around for nearly 100 years! The food booths are operated by local non-profits - schools, churches, youth groups - and they cook up some the best and darnedest things you will find at any festival. Check out their website to view the countdown calendar and the Munchie Map that is printed each year to direct everyone around the food maze on Franklin Street.
The Main Parade will have about 100 units participating featuring marching bands, floats, and many exciting entries. The parade starts at 4:30 PM Saturday afternoon (RAIN or SHINE) and runs down West Franklin St to St. Joe Ave.
The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is a tradition as a week long festival with free entertainment, carnival attractions, over 130 food booths, amateur talent competitions and three parades!
This event attracts over 100,000 people to the West Side and is considered to be one of the largest street festivals in the United States! No admission charged but bring your $$ to buy lots of yummy food, ride the rides, and play the games.
