The EPO presents an all-Mozart program, which features three of his final works, all composed during the last year of his life. The EPO is thrilled to collaborate with the EPO Chorus for Mozart’s immortal Requiem, which is one of the most recognizable and beautiful works for chorus and orchestra in the repertoire. Unfortunately, Mozart died before finishing his Requiem and supposedly wrote instructions for completion on since-lost “little scraps of paper.” The program opens with the Overture to The Magic Flute, which is a work of great joy and celebration. Mozart’s captivating Piano Concerto No. 27 highlights Mozart’s melodic genius, and will delight audiences.
