D-Day at Normandy 75th Anniversary Celebration
Walk the decks of history right here in Evansville! The USS LST Ship Memorial will be open for free tours from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the June 6 - June 9 celebration. Can you believe USS LST-325 was at Omaha Beach in Normandy on D-Day in 1944?
Evansville's most iconic summer festival returns June 20-23 for the 16th consecutive year. ShrinersFest is full of high-flying fun, historical reenactments, live music, and beer gardens. Kids can enjoy carnival rides, Ultimate Air Dogs, and the Miss ShrinerFest pageant. New this year is the Rumble on the River boxing tournament.
First Fridays is a local favorite for food trucks, live music, and shopping in Haynie’s Corner Arts District. On the first Friday of May through October, make your plans to dine in one of the eclectic restaurants or grab a craft beer or cocktail in a cozy corner bar because this district will be buzzing with excitement.
Franklin St. Bazaar
The Franklin St. Bazaar is a farmers market, makers market, and live entertainment all rolled into one! Head to the West Side library lawn every Saturday from May 25 to August 31 to pick up some fresh cut flowers, locally-grown produce, and other eats and treats.
Downtown Evansville’s Night on Main
New in 2019, these Downtown Evansville block parties are sure to be a hit! Happening June 15, July 20, and August 10, Night on Main features a bierstube, live performers, outdoor games, and more! This is a 21+ event.
HOLA Latino Festival
This is one of the largest events celebrating Latino culture in our region. Don’t miss the party on August 17 at historic Bosse Field. HOLA Latino Festival features international award-winning entertainment, over 30 international food vendors, and fun for the entire family.
What’s roaring on the river? It’s the sound of hydroplanes racing down the Ohio at the Evansville HydroFest! Events happen all weekend, August 16-18, but the action isn’t just on the water. There’s a food truck festival, BBQ festival, motorcycle and car shows as well as live music on Friday and Saturday night.
Web.com Tour Championship
The Web.com Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance will be the only major, national golf tournament happening over Labor Day weekend. Victoria National Golf Club hosts the four-day event with the championship round on Sunday, September 2. The top 50 will earn the right to play on the PGA Tour in 2020.
West Side Nut Club Fall Festival Fall Festival
Fall is everyone’s favorite time of year in Evansville because that’s when the area’s most glori-fried food festival returns. The Fall Festival is a week-long event with over 130 food booths, carnival rides, and free entertainment. Don’t miss one of the largest street festivals in the US.
