The Old Courthouse is one of the finest examples of Neo-Baroque architecture in the United States. Elegant, intricate sculptures carved from Indiana limestone sit above each entrance. Lavish marble floors and walls inside are accented by black slate stairs and wrought iron railings leading to the top story rotunda. The Old Courthouse was built in the 1890s and remains one of Downtown's premier architectural showplaces.
