USI's own gospel choir, Designed By Grace, presents the 15th Annual Gospel Explosion, featuring Answered Prayer, the Bible Center Cathedral Choir, Honoring God's Kingdom and the Zion Children's Choir performing a variety of music, including hip-hop, contemporary Christian, spirituals and hymns to spread the gospel and uplift the name of Jesus. This event is open to the public.  Designed by Grace is a cooperative program of the USI Multicultural Center and the College of Liberal Arts which accepts and welcomes USI students of all races, cultures, and backgrounds into its membership.

This year's Fido Walk, Rock & Run will take place from 5 to 11 p.m.  The evening will feature the Fido Walk Pledge Walk; 5K run; Fun Fest area with activities for kids, dogs and their owners; the Fido 2K Fetch; an off-leash play area; micro-chipping station; great food, live music and a beer garden.

The SIC SLAM is a two-day festival surrounding the Southern Indiana Classic Marathon, Half Marathon and 8k.  The all-you-can-eat-and-drink event honors members of the military.  On tap for fun: live entertainment, bierstube and five bouncy houses. 4-11 p.m. on Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.

What began as an event to introduce a new public university to the community has transformed into an enduring musical tradition for the holiday season. For this re-enactment of a 15th century European Christmas, the USI Chamber Choir dons period costumes to entertain with selections of old English and Irish madrigals, folk songs and holiday choral selections.
